Important Notice
We are pleased to announce a major renewal of the Filmstory app.
Due to this update, video data created in the current app will not be transferred to the new app.
To protect your important videos, please check and follow the instructions below.
For iOS App filmstory Users
If you have the app with the above icon installed, please follow these instructions.
1. About Video Data Backup
Please be sure to back up your video data before the update.
Backup Method
- Export (download) each video from the old app and save it to external storage or cloud services
- We recommend saving completed videos to your camera roll or cloud storage
Note: After the update, video data from the old app cannot be used in the new app.
2. About Disabling Automatic Updates
If you want to prevent automatic updates during the update period, please disable automatic updates by following the steps below.
How to Turn Off Automatic Updates
- Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone
- Select "App Store"
- Turn OFF "App Updates" in the "Automatic Downloads" section
This will prevent the app from being automatically updated during the update period.
Please manually update the app after you have completed the backup.
For iOS App Filmstory Pro Users
If you have the app with the above icon installed, please follow these instructions.
About App Discontinuation
- The Filmstory Pro version will be discontinued 6 months later on August 3, 2026.
- After August 3, 2026, please migrate to the new filmstory app.
About Video Data
- Videos from the old app (Filmstory Pro) will continue to be available
- However, you will need to create new videos from scratch in the new app
- Since the old app and new app are treated as different applications, data will not be transferred

We are offering a special lifetime free benefit for users who have purchased the Filmstory Pro version.

- You can use all features of the new app free for life
- No additional charges are required
Transfer Method
You can transfer your purchase information and apply the lifetime free benefit by following these steps.
- Install the new app and log in with your Apple ID
- Go to the "Settings" screen in the app
- Tap the "Already Purchased FilmStory (Transfer)" button
- Once the transfer process is complete, your purchase information linked to your Apple ID will be verified and the lifetime free benefit will be applied
Important Notes:
- You must be logged in to the new app to perform the transfer process
- Performing the transfer on a device where the Filmstory Pro version is installed will make it easier to verify your purchase information
- The transfer process can be performed at any time during or after the update period
For Android App Users
1. About Installing the New App
After the update, you will need to install the new FilmStory from the store.
- The current app and the new app are different applications, so they will not automatically replace each other
- The new app must be installed separately from the Google Play Store
2. About Video Data
- Videos created in the current app will continue to be available in the current app
- In the new app, you will need to create new videos
- You can use both the current app and the new app in parallel

Q1. What happens to videos from the old app? (iOS)
A. Video data from the old app (both regular and Pro versions) will not be transferred to the new app. Please be sure to back up your data before updating.
Q2. I purchased Filmstory Pro. Will the new app also be paid? (iOS)
A. By performing the transfer process, you can use the new app free for life. Please proceed from the "Transfer" button in the settings screen.
Q3. Until when can I perform the transfer process? (iOS)
A. The transfer process is not time-limited. You can perform it at any time, but we recommend doing it as soon as possible.
Q4. Is it okay to leave automatic updates turned off? (iOS)
A. Yes, that’s fine. Please manually update the app after you have completed the backup and are ready.
Q5. Will the Android app be automatically updated?
A. No, the new app will be distributed as a separate application, so it will not be automatically updated. You will need to install the new app from the Google Play Store.
Q6. Can I use videos created in the Android app in the new app?
A. Videos created in the current app will continue to be available in the current app. In the new app, you will need to create new videos.
